Inhalt: Nicole and Amy, a lesbian couple of fifteen years, live with the secret that one is an illegal alien. With no legal way to protect their relationship, the couple lives in the shadows, surviving only on their love. One fateful day, during an innocent visit to the Statue of Liberty, security stops the girls and runs a routine check. The immediate results turn up nothing and the girls are free to visit Lady Liberty, unaware of the ripples that have already begun to unravel their lives. High tech storage lockers at the monument require keyless access via thumbprint. Like most visitors, the girls willingly complied with this heightened security measure and checked their bags before entering the monument. The girls enjoyed their day admiring Lady Liberty, then went home to Los Angeles; unaware that their fateful visit to this icon of freedom, was about to strip them of their own.
